KB Bullock, AMFT (He/They)

Supervised by Darlene Tando, LCSW

My personal journey of embracing my authentic expression as an openly trans man has fueled my passion to support others in reconnecting with their truest selves. I began my career working for a community-based organization providing support, education, and advocacy for those affected by mental health struggles and suicide. After that, I spent six years providing crisis intervention and services before transitioning to providing therapy at an LGBTQ+ community clinic.

I am passionate about attuning to and embracing all parts of the self and exploring the fullness of your identity, expression, and experience, with the therapeutic relationship being at the heart of our work together. My practice intends to create a space of safety, depth, curiosity, and embodied ease during this collaborative process between you and me as we explore and move through complex emotions and experiences toward your goals. My style is curious, playful, and direct, while you and I use the therapeutic relationship as a laboratory within which to facilitate the meaningful changes that will reconnect you with yourself, with life, and with the people around you.

As a client-centered therapist, I work with individuals dealing with life challenges such as anxiety, depression, shame, gender dysphoria, trauma, and issues with self-esteem. While I work with clients who hold a wide variety of identities within the queer community, I am particularly interested in working with trans and gender non-conforming adults and adolescents and their families. Additionally, I specialize in working with individuals and partners involved in polyamorous and non-monogamous relationships. I approach therapy with a sex-positive, kink-aware, and poly-friendly perspective, ensuring that clients feel supported and understood in all aspects of their identities and relationships.

For meeting format, I currently reside in San Francisco but can provide telehealth to anyone in California. I take Anthem Blue Cross and Aetna insurance, and I can provide a superbill for any PPOs outside of these networks.

I invite you to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation to discuss how we can work together towards your personal growth and well-being. From there, we can schedule our first session if it feels right.
