Online Therapy
Online therapy is not the same thing as face-to-face therapy, and in-person therapy should be chosen over online therapy whenever possible. However, online therapy can be a great option for those who are homebound, have difficulty with transportation, are struggling with something very difficult to talk about in person, or who live long-distance from the therapist they would like to use.
If you would like to work with me on some personal issues and cannot come to my office for whatever reason, please contact me through the LivePerson website at the link below.*
I will be able to “chat” with you by typing via a live chat messaging system. The fee is $1.20/minute.
I look forward to chatting with you!
*You must be at least 18 years of age to engage in online therapy through LivePerson. Online counseling is not appropriate for those having thoughts of harming themselves or others. If you have suicidal thoughts, it is important that you seek professional help immediately through other channels of communication. If you are located in the US, call 1-800-784-2433 or 911 and ask for help. If you are outside the US, go to http://www.befrienders.org/ to find the support hotline in your country and area.
Sessions are encrypted, providing a high-level of technological security, and the personal information you share will never be disclosed to any other individual, company, or organization. However, it is important to remember that nothing on the internet can be 100% fully guaranteed to be private. In specific safety-related circumstances, I am required by law to report to local authorities (according to applicable and relevant law) including: the perpetration of emotional, physical, or sexual abuse, homicidal or suicidal intentions, or any other scenario where an individual`s life is in imminent danger.
I am licensed in the state of California. Therefore, if you reside in another state or country, you agree this session takes place in “cyberspace” and I do not claim to be licensed in your state or country.
